These green tea cups by Kawai Tōru are glazed in cobalt blue (gosu) and accented with iron-rich drip details in a technique called tetsugaké.  The set is sure to become a green tea lover's favorite.

Kawai Tōru is the grandnephew of Kawai Kanjiro and the last to study under the legendary master.  Over the years, he has refined his own particular style of mingei pottery - one that emphasizes clean lines and geometric forms.
