Neriagé Tsubo Jar by Kawai Takéichi
A striking stoneware tsubo jar by the late Kawai Takéichi. The distinctive pattern is done in a technique called neriagé, where two clays of contrasting color are marbled to form intricate patterns within the claybody.

When he died in 1989, he left behind a modest cache of works which have never been available to the public - until now. 2000 Cranes is honored to have been given exclusive access to these very special pieces.
