"We received the gift yesterday.  Thank you very much for ensuring that it reached us in perfect condition.  My husband loves the Wada beer glass and we are both delighted at the attention to detail with regards to the gift wrapping, etc.  It is exactly how it was depicted on the website and we are very pleased with it.  Also, the customer service throughout the transaction has been outstanding.  Many thanks once again for all your help."

P. Samra, London

"You cannot fail to be moved by the integrity and life of the works of these masters of the Kotura Kiln.  Brian is most generous and a pleasure to do business with.  He is also a trustworthy advisor, especially if you are not a ceramics expert or just need additional perspective from someone who is truly immersed in the artistry of Kyoto.  I assure you that your experience with 2000 Cranes will be a special one."

R. Kelly, New Jersey

"I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate the trust that was established on my first IKAI Yuichi acquisition.  I've never been comfortable buying art like this online, but 2000 Cranes was there at every step of the way with advice, concern, and cordiality.  With so many dubious online dealers out there peddling questionable works, it's nice to finally find one that knows the art, knows the artists, and knows how to do honest business."

C. Sallows, London

"The works you sell at 2000 Cranes are absolutely lovely."

"The Tamba-yaki green tea set by Nagai Ken arrived safely, and I was surprised how fast it went from Japan to Germany.  I couldn't wait and looked inside the lovely wooden box directly after the postman left the office.  The pieces are wonderful and the set fully meets my expectations.  The rusty red, the traces of the flames, the rough texture of its surface; it is a simple (in the sense of wabi) but very special pottery.  At home I prepared it for green tea use and then had my first cup.  I like it very much."

"Thanks again for the amazing ceramics!!  I just received by second piece by Suzuki-san and it is more beautiful than I imagined.  He is a master of shino and 2000cranes.com is a master of customer service.  A million thanks for giving everyone outside of Japan a way to obtain and enjoy this timeless art."

G. Leishman, Ohio

"On clear days I am usually sitting in my backyard with my H-Alpha solar telescope, studying the Sun and sipping tea from one of my Suzuki Tomio cups.  One morning, I had the cup and an eyepiece sitting on a small bench and I gently lifted the bench to move it a couple of feet.  As I was setting it down, it bumped against my foot and both the eyepiece and the cup fell on their sides and started to roll off the bench, heading for the cement patio floor!  I was able to get one hand free and lunged for.....the cup (of course), grabbing it just in time.  In that instant, I reasoned that although the eyepiece was actually more expensive to purchase, the cup is a work of art, one of a kind, not to be duplicated and I could always buy another eyepiece. The eyepiece tumbled to the cement, suffering mild scratches.  The Suzuki cup, I'm happy to say, survived and continues to provide me with enjoyable mornings drinking tea."

"I've received the package and the dishes arrived safely.  Thanks for the very good packaging from your company.  I'm very satisfied with the service that you provided and it gives me more confidence to order from you in the future.  The dishes from young Mr. Wada are really beautiful!  Surely they'll become one of my treasures.  Please convey my thanks to him, and I look forward to seeing more of his creations on your website."

"Mr. Kamada's tenmoku cup arrived today and it is very beautiful - even better than I expected from the pictures on the website. I am very impressed with the excellent service you have provided. I have made many purchases on the internet, but I have never received such superb service before."

"The cup has arrived, and it is beautiful.  I am delighted!  It has been tempered, cleaned, and makes a wonderful cup of tea.  Thanks again for your attentiveness and congeniality.  It's truly a pleasure doing business with you.  Your thoughtfulness and going the extra mile to assure my satisfaction is deeply appreciated."

"WARNING.  This site is highly addictive and dangerous.

Too many nice things to choose from.

Beautiful ceramics, well presented and backed up with excellent service.  Highly recommended."

"Wow, what a surprise to order a pot on Sunday afternoon my time from Japan and receive it Wednesday morning in Williamstown, USA!  Your service is incredible and your website very complete. Excellent muti-shots of the pieces shown, and very informative about the artist and care of ware.  Thank you for helping me add a piece of work by a Japanese potter to my collection and having it go so smoothly."

Liz G., New Jersey

"Back from the Biennale di Venezia, I already had the two wonderful shino tea cups on my doorstep. I could not have imagined a better welcome home!! The cups arrived in perfect condition and I am absolutely delighted and thrilled by their beauty. I would like to thank you and Mr. Suzuki, and I look forward to hearing and seeing more of his work in the future."

"I received the seiji green tea cup set by Yuichi Ikai for a Valentines gift from my girlfriend. I have to say it was the best V-day gift I've ever received! I check your site several times a month to drool over the products. Keep up the good work."

"I've been to Kyoto a number of times, so I know the wonderful sensation of ceramic shopping along those old, historical streets. 2000 Cranes is the closest thing to that feeling without actually going there.  Many, many thanks!"

"I cannot express how delighted I am with the tenmoku cup.  It far surpasses my expectations, and you must feel very proud to represent the artists who make such quality pottery as this.  The amount of detail about the items you sell and in-depth biographies of the artists is exceptional. Congratulations."

"The cup arrived in perfect condition and in record time. I can't express how pleased I am with it and 2000 Cranes. I really appreciate the emails and your interest in me as a customer.  I also enjoyed reading about Mr. Suzuki and ribbon tying. You've gained an appreciative customer. Thanks again.

"Your site is the one of the best I have seen under any subject - easy to use and the best close up photos of the pottery a person could wish for.  I visit regularly just to look at the pictures!  It seems that you could feel the texture of the pottery on the screen.  I have liked Japanese ceramics all my life, and I hope you'll continue the same quality that I see now."

B. Richardson, Utah

"The items came in today's mail.  All are really wonderful.  Mr. Ikai's sake cups are even better 'in the flesh', and the purple shino tea cup of Mr. Suzuki's is a very fine piece.  Many thanks."

"I lived in Kumamoto for 11 years and fell in love with the Japanese and their culture.  I have been looking for a site such as yours.  Up until now,  it has been very difficult to buy from Japan at reasonable prices.  Thank you sincerely."

Steven S., California

"The Kamada pieces arrived safely today and I must say... they are Gems!  I'm pleased with the overall quality and diversity of the pieces.  Thank you for the first class service you provide and for working with me along the way.  I look forward to our next transaction together."

S. Sell, Pittsburgh

"The package arrived on Saturday (a wonderful surprise!) and Mr. Suzuki's green tea cup came in beautiful condition. I am so very happy with it.  The wooden box so elegantly sealed by the cloth ribbon was a wonderful ritual to experience.  2000 Cranes is a beautiful website. Thank you."

L. Witt, Boulder

"It is difficult to buy art like this, especially pottery, which is so personal, so actively human an art form. The art I carefully choose to grace my living is personal and contributes to the spirituality of my life. It is a living, breathing part of my living patterns. Mr. Suzuki's chawan has a simplicity, a human touch, a link with the spirits in nature that I adore. I will be able to write poetry by merely looking at it in the sunlight."
