Ash glazing specialist Ikai Yūichi follows a new creative tangent and proudly introduces this two piece shinshayū green tea cup set.  Shinshayū, or cinnabar glaze, is a copper glaze denoted by its deep crimson hues.

Both cups are skillfully formed from porcelain clay and textured with a crosshatching into the claybody.  This helps the glaze cascade across and down the body of the piece while in the kiln, resulting in an attractive, fluid effect uncommon on other porcelain pieces.

For couples who appreciate fine green tea from the finest ceramics.
