Hailing from Kyoto's Yawata District, Suzuki Tomio has reinvigorated the world of shino with his provocative clay creations of incredible tactile richness.  While cooling in the kiln, the feldspar glaze shrinks tightly around the clay body, forming a textured landscape of pinholes and crackles that beckons to be explored.

Mr. Suzuki is proud to debut this unique selection of shino spires, each one representing just one member of his expansive glazing repertoire.  From the soft pastel of traditional shino (TS701) to his signature kagayou (TS705), the medley of sculpted pieces stands as a testament to the incredible diversity of his art.  They make eye-catching centerpieces for large tables, mantles or bookcases.

See Suzuki Tomio's Hanshin Gallery exhibition for more from his 2009 collection.

Each spire is sold individually and comes with a signed wooded box made to order.  Delivery time for this item is 2 weeks.
