Slight refinements lead many ceramic artists on new creative tangents, and this lovely green tea cup exhibits Tomio Suzuki's latest impulse.  It is done in a rendition of his signature yohen-kin shino glaze and fittingly named haku-kin, or "white gold."  Lacking the cracked texture of other shino works, this piece is soft to the touch and glistens with a bit of opulence.  It is sure to become a green tea drinker's guarded treasure.

For hot or cold green tea or iced tea.

See Tomio Suzuki's Hanshin Gallery exhibition for more from his 2007 collection.
