This vase by Hiroaki Wada is a stunning example of the kind of dynamic yohen (kiln changes) that form within the kiln.  It is fired in a saggar packed with layers of straw and pine ash.  As the ash burns at varying intensities, a number of color variations, streams and textures are formed.  Unique in character and a joy to explore, this piece promises to attract quite a lot of attention.

See Hiroaki Wada & Tozan Wada's Daimaru Gallery Exhibition pictorial for more from their 2006 collection.

A wooden presentation box will be custom made to order and signed by the artist.  Delivery time for this item is 2 weeks.
