Reminiscent of the kind used by the imperial courts of old, this ginsho tenmoku incense burner by Koji Kamada is a real treasure.  The metallic strength of the glaze contrasts beautifully with the elegant and skillfully formed spherical base.  Golden highlights around the rim and low-relief slip lines add a sense of luxury and geometric sophistication.

Although this type of incense burner is intended for powdered incense, it can accommodate stick types as well.
