These wintery cool ash glazed cups are ideal for serving iced green tea.  They are done in Ikai Yuichi's signature hakuryu, or "fluid white" - a simple glaze made from rice straw ash applied over an iron-rich slip.  The glaze is wiped way in lines which beautifully accent the curvature of the chocolate brown clay body.
